A lower rate is available for students paying on a monthly basis. Lesson payment for the upcoming month is due during the last lesson of the current month.

Comparing Dr. Darby's rates to other instructors:

There is generally a $5 to $10 (or more) savings per lesson. That is a significant savings. Dr. Darby's education and experience qualifies for charging a much higher rate. However, maintaining a competitive rate is key to offering a great deal on quality instruction. Rates have been adjusted to compete with the rates of equally qualified instructors. Rates will be matched with those of another instructor if you provide their name, contact information, and if they are equally qualified instructors.

Rates also vary between private studios and at music stores. Music stores and organizations generally charge higher rates. Darby Music is a private studio, allowing more flexibility. Dr. Darby promotes the business of local music stores, encouraging all students to purchase materials locally.

Other instructors of equal or similar qualifications generally charge around $100 per lesson. Dr. Darby's rates are considerably lower.
