Lesson Duration

Lessons are 50 minutes in duration.

Occasionally a student asks about the possibility of either less frequent or alternate duration lessons.

Lessons are not available at shorter durations:

Shorter duration lessons do not allow for the necessary time to effectively review material from the previous week and cover new material for the current week. The review is necessary to assure that the student has made progress and, thus, allows for covering new material and the potential of making additional progress.

Lessons occur once a week:

Less frequent lessons force both teacher and student into waiting large periods of time before progressing to new lesson material, effectively hindering the efficiency of the lesson process. Adjustments are made in the material covered, when necessary, to allow for one week to continue to serve as the ideal time frame for the student to accomplish the given material. Periods of time greater than one week serve as a great disadvantage to the student, making it difficult to maintain consistent progress. Weekly lessons also help the student with staying on track and keeping the information fresh.
