Bass Materials

Materials needed for lessons on bass guitar:

Your bass
Practice log (a daily planner or plain notebook)
Three-ring binder
A packet of 5-line staff paper (with bass tablature)
A packet of blank bass chord diagram paper
Any books (theory, method, etc.) that we're using in lessons
Sheet music (you are responsible for obtaining this) that we're using in lessons
Lesson payment for the month (due at the first lesson of each month)

Additional materials for use in between lessons:

Metronome
Tuner (optional)
Recording device (optional)

Putting together the three-ring binder:

A 1/2" or 1" three-ring binder will suffice for holding any loose-leaf lesson materials.

A 3-hole punch or packets of clear sleeves will be necessary to allow for inserting pages into the binder.

Print or photocopy several pages of blank staff/TAB paper (be sure it has the 5-line staff in addition to the bass tablature) and several pages of blank bass chord diagram paper and insert into the binder.

Include plain notebook paper in the binder for any notes taken during or in between lessons.
